The oil paintings provide the foundational act from which the entire project unfolds. Rooted in the tradition of the Old Masters, KZ approached the works with a deeply classical sensibility, producing ten original oil paintings on wood.

Within these works, dramatic chiaroscuro shapes the visual language, allowing light and shadow to emerge in quiet tension and depth. Layers of richly textured color are built through generous passages of thick impasto, giving the surfaces a tactile, almost sculptural presence.
Through this process, each painting becomes a physical record of gesture, material, and atmosphere—where the discipline of traditional technique meets a contemporary artistic vision.
The Glass Editions
In 2004, KZ pioneered a technique that transfers the rich color and expressive depth of his oil paintings onto glass. Each of the 10 glass editions recreates the corresponding original oil painting through a meticulous, layer-by-layer method that preserves the visual intensity and texture of the original artwork.
Through these layered coatings, translucent pigments, and reflective and diffractive elements, his technique produces a visual spectrum far broader than that of most conventional painting media. By arranging colors in successive layers, positioned in front of one another, the compositions achieve a remarkable sense of depth and dimensionality.
The result is a series of museum-quality glass editions that elevate the viewing experience through enhanced depth, luminous color, and reflective surfaces that dynamically interact with light. Each piece is numbered, signed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and carefully packed in a keepsake carrying case. With only 10 editions per artwork, availability is exceptionally limited.
